RostTech™ Rust Treatment converter is our expertly formulated, full function, water-based rust converter, with structured polymer primer. With thorough preparation, RostTech™ Rust Treatment penetrates deeper than standard converters into rust and converts rust into a stable, inert ferric phosphate compound, which can be over-coated without removing rust back to bright steel.
Application Area – Rusted mild steel or galvanised iron.
Settling – Slight settling may occur. Lightly stir before application.
Cleaning – Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.
- By wire brush, remove only loose or flaking rust. It is important not to remove all rust.
- Wipe the treated are down to remove all dirt and sanding dust.
- Apply RostTech™ using a brush; one thin, even coat, ensuring that you cover all rust completely; do not apply over previously painted areas.
- Allow to dry for minimum 4 hours at an ideal 25℃ before applying
- RubberTech™ High Performance Penetrating Bonding Primer.
- Apply final finishing coat such as RostGuard, RubberTech ThermoTech/Liquid Rubber Paint etc.
